Specifically, the project partners have joined together as they complement each other in addressing low-carbon objectives in the context of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions. Their clustering activities will take place between ongoing projects from different Interreg programmes dealing with the same theme or territorial challenge.
The objective of the project clustering initiative is to support the implementation of macro-regional and sea-basin strategies, to ensure better implementation of the cooperating projects, more efficient use of the funding, better results and wider dissemination of the results.
ARCTIC CLUSTER
The aim of the ARCTIC CLUSTER project is to increase awareness and transfer good energy practices by optimising the use of resources across three complementary projects funded by three different Arctic cooperation programmes (NPA, Interreg Nord and Kolartic CBC), that are all addressing similar themes and territorial challenges.
The main objective is to use transnational cooperation to ensure better implementation and knowledge exchange of the energy solutions available across the Northern Periphery and Arctic Programmes. The partners will optimise networking, co-ordination, monitoring, exchange of information, and the exploitation and dissemination of results.
North-European Energy Cluster
The North-European Energy Cluster (N-EEC) formed by three ongoing projects in the northern peripheral regions of Europe (Interreg NPA ,Interreg Botnia-Atlantica and Interreg Nord).
The objective of the N-EEC project is to gather the strengths and best practises from each ongoing project and create added value by arranging and hosting several joint events concerning energy use in buildings, retrofitting of public buildings, carbon footprint and life-cycle assessment of buildings as key themes. During these events, each project will report their outputs and findings on building energy related issues. The best practises and the most important lessons learnt will be disseminated to important stakeholders taking part in the event as audience or in live streamed webinars.
