Summary
GREBE will provide a platform for transnational sharing of knowledge to demonstrate the full potential of the RE sector by showcasing innovations on RE technology and strengthening accessibility to expertise and business support available locally and in other NPA regions.
Objectives
The project objectives are to: Highlight the most relevant funding options to the user given their situation, the innovation stage of renewable businesses and the local context, improve the business environment for start-ups and SMEs through practical business mentoring services and business growth strategies for more competitive and successful NPA regions, and, support renewable energy enterprises in introducing new to market energy technology solutions.
Impacts
Tangible
Improved access to services: | GREBE developed the Energy Ideas Hub, a virtual networking place where (micro) businesses across the NPA area can share technology ideas, experiences and best practice examples, or establish contacts and further collaborations with each other. GREBE´s Business Support Catalogue provides a review of funding mechanisms and funding options available to support the development of renewable businesses in 6 NPA regions. |
---|---|
Business development: | The project developed the Entrepreneur Enabler Scheme to provide practical business support tailored to deliver concrete guidance to small scale renewable energy enterprises. Among the project´s publications, resource assessments describing the best practice techniques for wind energy, biomass energy, and solar energy were published. The toolkits can benefit community groups and estate managers seeking to develop local renewable schemes. |
