Project NEES2
Project Acronym | NEES2 |
---|---|
Project Title | Natural Energy Efficiency and Sustainability 2 |
Summary
NEES 2 builds on the work of the NEES Project (NPP 2010-2014) which identified and promoted 15 best practise products and services, developed 6 pilot projects applying these best practices, developed training modules for the training of builders and professionals, and disseminated findings widely to professionals and policy makers.
The aim of NEES 2 is to review and update the NEES Criteria for sustainability of products and services, and to develop an on-line tool to allow its use by professionals and the public. Also to develop new products and services with the SME’s identified and to identify additional SMEs pioneering best practices in NPA regions not represented in NEES (i.e. Finland, Iceland, Faroes, Russia and Canada).
NEES 2 will demonstrate best practices and at operational level (TRL8-9) through at least 6 new projects in Partner regions, covering around 300 homes. NEES 2 will organise networking exchange and dissemination, including regional events, social media and audio-visual presentations, creating awareness and marketing products and services at a trans-regional level. It will implement the vocational training developed in NEES in different Partner regions.
