Summary
Connected North is a Northern Periphery partnership project to create a remote, real-time communication service to enable smart, digital tourism in the cultural sector. Using the latest virtual technology this project will connect isolated communities to share their heritage digitally.
This projects aims to overcome the common challenges of rural isolation especially for older people and for people without the means to travel. It offers a carbon-free solution to global travel without loosing the real-time experience of exploring a place far away from home.
Objectives
The objective of the preparatory project is to develop a high quality main project application.
