To help grow their professional network, Kristina Jeppson from Nogadget design in Sundsvall was paired with Ruth Graham from western Ireland. For 6 months, they were sharing their knowledge and experience under the supervision of a mentor, who directed their work. Similarly, the Creative Steps 2.0 innovation workshop connected emerging creative talents with existing businesses to encourage international and cross-border collaboration. Three students and two companies from Sweden and Ireland together developed a marketing idea, with the potential to increase the value of the company’s products.

MentorKristina & Ruth were very well matched. They were both in design but worked very differently & could immediately see how collaborating on projects would expand their creativity. They created a handover project where Ruth started a design, handed it to Kristina who designed the next step. They developed this back & forth. Kristina entered the project into a competition in Sweden. While it didn’t win, it inspired them to look for funding for future collaborations together.
