Learning across generations

Students teach old people how to use technology

Students from St Mary’s High School, St Aidan’s High School and St John’s Business and Enterprise College met with local older people. Starting from personal items, a photograph or music, they told their stories to the young. These stories are available in a digital transnational cultural heritage archive. In return, students helped older participants to find information online, motivating them to use technologies. Interesting concepts for apps and services to improve old people´s life and wellbeing were developed at a hackathon organized by Ulster University, such as assistance in finding local events or real-time identification of emotional wellbeing.
