Two businesses operating in the renewable energy sector received business support from the project. ProAir which manufactures ventilation systems to recover and reuse heat, developed a business plan and received financial support which helped them to further develop their system and enabled them to apply for an Innovation partnership with Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology. With the support of FREED, Solo Energy established a demonstration site in Nenagh Library, which enabled them to test and further develop their smart system for renewable energy supply, called Virtual Power Plant, in real life conditions.

Proair Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems LtdProair have received €30k Funding as well as Business Plan & Marketing Support. The timely intervention from the FREED Project enabled independent testing & verification of PAICCS (Proair Indoor Climate Control System). This ultimately contributed to the next stage of the PAICCS development and the company have now successfully entered into an innovation partnership with Enterprise Ireland and a third level education facility which will grow the PAICCS technology further and onwards to market.
